Neuro Physiotherapy for Legs & GAIT

Disability due to stroke, TBI, SCI & other neurological conditions compromises mobility, balance, muscle strength, and gait pattern functions and impacts patient’s QOL.

A “First in India”, Atharv Ability offers a suite of advanced end effector-based robotic solution to improve lower body function including leg function and movement & balance to enable early independence.

Atharv Ability is also equipped with touch screen enabled & pneumatically operated EN-Dynamic family for complete lower limb and gait training.

LEXO, works on all phases of GAIT cycle. The customized & interactive modes offers training of physiological walking pattern and also demands patients’ self-activity. Lexo pushes the boundaries and allows early independence for wheelchair-bound patients.

TYMO offers therapy for trunk, upper and lower extremities, balance training and postural control with Task & ADL oriented training.

PABLO, a sensor-based rehabilitation device offers interactive therapies for the whole body.

Neuro Physiotherapy for Arms + Hands + Fingers

Neurological damages caused by stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological disorders can result in severe impairment of sensorimotor functions, affecting functional activities, independence, and eventually the quality of life. This is particularly true for the upper extremities, which are fundamental to interact with the environment and perform activities of daily living.

Atharv Ability’s Arms, Hands and Fingers section has robust, best-in-class robotic devices for upper limbs such as MYRO, PABLO, AMADEO, DIEGO and TYMO, each designed to provide arm, hand and finger functional training.

MYRO delivers computer-assisted motor and cognitive therapy for upper extremity that improves gross-motor skills & fine-motor-skills

PABLO is a sensor-based rehabilitation device for unilateral and bilateral training that Improves gripping, strength and range of motion

DIEGO ACTIVE provides training in a 3D space to improve range of motion and strength

AMADEO provides assistive and interactive therapy for individual fingers and thumbs that improves tone, spasticity, strength and range of motion

Functional Gym

Muscle weakness is a key physical impairment in neurological conditions as it limits patient’s mobility. Resistance training improves muscle strength and performance when added to functional exercises.

Atharv Ability offers a functional rehabilitation gym where patients can train for their functional activities under supervised guidance.

Patients will largely use this space for targeted muscle strengthening, and also to enhance their aerobic conditioning.

The pneumatic resistance weights are among the unique feature of this gym as it allows patients to perform repetitions with better speed and power.

Combined aerobic and strength training programs help in improving respiratory function, mobility, and wellbeing.

The pneumatic weight machine at the Functional Gym provides more control than the traditional weight training regimes.

It removes the effect of inertia resulting in enhanced patient outcomes, increased reliability and better safety

Simulated Activity of Daily Living Training Facility

Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training exercises help patients to regain their control over meaningful, daily tasks and enjoy the fact of not being dependent on anyone. The training revolves around primary tasks such as bathing, eating, and dressing and even more complex ones like meal preparation, household chores, community mobility, etc.

Target population include those who have had stroke, spinal cord injury, head injury, adults with cognitive impairments, paediatric – autism, cerebral palsy, geriatric population.

At Atharv Ability, we have a dedicated space for ADL training that simulates the living environment of one’s home.

Our therapists will be able to assess and monitor patients’ abilities and train them to carry out basic daily living activities.

This will ensure that patients are well-prepared to manage their everyday lives.

The facility includes a dry toilet area, a kitchen platform, a basin for utensil cleaning, a washing machine, functional wardrobe, and a bed for transfer training, among others.

In addition, an in-house car is available for clients to practice car transfers.

The simulated activity of daily living training facility maximises an individual’s ability to be independent by reducing their reliance on external help/caregivers.

It helps patients with community-reintegration by shortening the period of incapacity and restoring freedom of movement.

This training directly augments patients’ mental health and ushers a sense of well-being.
